Jewelry Manufacturing ProcesCustom Jewelry Services for Brands

Home » Custom Jewelry Process

Where your creative vision meets industrial precision. We provide comprehensive custom jewelry services tailored for brands that refuse to compromise on quality or speed. From the first spark of an idea to the final polished piece, we are the silent engine behind your brand’s success.

OEM vs ODM – How We Work with Different Types of Projects

We support both OEM projects (your own designs) and ODM projects (using or adapting our existing designs). The process is similar, but there are a few key differences.

OEM – Your Own Custom Jewelry Designs

For OEM projects, you provide original designs or clear references. We focus on:

  • Protecting your designs with NDA and controlled file handling
  • Engineering details to turn concepts into manufacturable pieces
  • Matching your exact brand positioning and target retail price range

OEM is ideal for established brands and retailers who need unique collections that stand out from competitors.

ODM – Using or Adapting Our Designs

For ODM projects, you select from our existing design library and we adapt details such as materials, plating color, stones and branding.

  • Shorter development time
  • Lower sampling cost and risk
  • Easier to test new collections or markets

ODM is ideal if you want to launch faster, test new categories or reduce upfront design workload.

Step 1: Share Your Project Brief

Every strong project starts with a focused brief. By sharing your product ideas, target market, and quantities up front, you give us the information we need to respond with real solutions rather than generic answers.

Step 2: Engineering Review & Quotation

This is where your ideas meet our manufacturing reality. Our engineers look at your designs through the lens of materials, structure and production, so the quotation you receive is not only a number—but a clear path to make your jewelry or lighter work in real life.

Step 3: Sampling, 3D & Prototypes

Seeing is believing. Samples and prototypes let you feel the weight, finish and details of your design before committing to volume, turning abstract concepts into pieces your team can hold, test and refine together.

Step 4: Mold Making & Pre‑Production Sample

For designs that require tooling, this step bridges the gap between sample‑room success and stable mass production. By testing new molds in small runs, we confirm that every detail you approved can be reliably reproduced on the actual production line.

Step 5: Mass Production & Quality Control

Once everything is approved, we move from prototypes to production—without leaving quality to chance. Multiple checkpoints across cutting, polishing, plating and packing keep your stainless steel jewelry consistent from the first piece to the last.

Step 6: Packing, Shipping & Reorders

The process does not end when cartons leave our factory. Thoughtful packing, clear documentation and well‑kept specifications make warehouse receiving smoother today—and make reorders easier and more consistent for every future season.

Custom Jewelry OEM/ODM Process FAQ

New partners often share the same questions about timing, files and how flexible the process can be. This FAQ section consolidates key points in one place, enabling your team to transition from uncertainty to clarity before the first project even begins.

How long does the whole process take from brief to bulk shipment?

For most OEM and ODM projects, sampling typically takes 2–4 weeks after we confirm all technical details, and bulk production usually takes 30–45 days, depending on the design complexity and quantities. If your launch date is fixed, please let us know in your initial brief so we can plan capacity accordingly.

Do we need to have complete CAD files before starting a project?

No. CAD files are helpful but not mandatory. Many clients start with sketches, reference photos, or existing samples. Our engineering team can create production-ready CAD and 3D drawings based on your input and then send them to you for approval before sampling.

At which step do we confirm the final design and specifications?

Final designs and specifications are confirmed after you approve the sample or pre-production sample in Steps 3 or 4. At that point, we lock dimensions, materials, finishes and logo positions, and use this specification to control quality in mass production and all future reorders.

Can we run multiple designs in one program and share materials or packaging?

Yes. Many brands develop collections with multiple designs within a single program. As long as each design meets its minimum order quantity, we can often share materials, plating setups, and packaging standards across the collection, which helps keep the process efficient and consistent.

Is my design intellectual property protected?

Absolutely. We take IP protection seriously. We are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before you share any files. Your molds are kept exclusive to your brand and will never be used for other clients or our own collections.

Is the sample fee refundable?

Yes. We charge a nominal fee for prototyping to cover engineering and setup costs. However, this fee is 100% refundable when your bulk order for that style meets our standard quantity threshold (usually 300 pieces or $1,000 value).

Do you work with materials other than steel and brass?

To maintain our high standards of specialization, we focus exclusively on 316L Stainless Steel, Eco-Brass, and Titanium. We do not work with zinc alloy (due to quality issues) or 925 Sterling Silver (due to different casting processes), ensuring our equipment is perfectly tuned for our core metals.

Can you help with custom packaging?

Yes. We offer a full-service solution. We can source and customize jewelry boxes, pouches, and hangtags with your logo. This allows you to receive retail-ready products that can be shipped directly to your customers or warehouse.

Can I Start with a Small Test Order?

Yes. In many cases, we offer lower MOQs for test orders, especially when you are launching a new collection or entering a new market. Please share your plan and we will propose a realistic solution.

What Do I Need to Prepare Before Contacting You?

Ideally, you can prepare reference images or CAD files, basic product list, estimated quantities and target markets. If you do not have all of these yet, you can still start with a simple brief and we will ask the right questions.

Do You Only Work with Stainless Steel Jewelry?

Stainless steel is our core focus, but we also work with Eco‑Brass and Titanium, as well as 925 Silver Jewelry, especially for brass lighters and body jewelry projects.

Lead Time, MOQ and Pricing – How We Plan Together

We know that timelines, MOQs, and cost structures are critical to your business. That is why we discuss them early in the process instead of as an afterthought.

Typical Lead Times

Lead times depend on your product type and season, but as a general reference:

  • Sampling: usually 5-7 Dayss after final confirmed designs
  • Mass production: usually 2–3 weeks after sample approval and deposit

We will confirm realistic lead times for your specific project during quotation.

MOQ Guidelines

We offer brand‑friendly MOQs starting from around 50 pcs per design in many cases. Exact MOQs can vary based on complexity, materials and plating.

How Pricing Works

Your ex‑factory price is influenced by materials, weight, processes, plating, packaging and quantities. During the quotation stage, we show you how different options affect cost so you can choose the best combination for your market.
